This book is dark, creepy, blood-soaked and not for the faint of heart! It was more of a police based murder/mystery than what I would consider a traditional thriller but that is absolutely fine with me!
This is based on a serial killer who is very twisted and loves to play games with the police. He leaves little chesnut men at each crime scene complete with a fingerprint of a victim who was pronounced dead a year ago. How does the victim tie into the crimes? Is the victim alive? Is the serial killer the victim? All these questions were racing through my mind as I read trying to fit all the pieces together.
After the initial few chapters, where all the characters are introduced, the 528 pages flew by as I was engulfed into the enthralling story line. The chapters are short, which I appreciate in a book this long, yet graphic and twisted in detail. The writing was superb, descriptive, to say the least, and flowed really well.
I loved the ending and I am keeping my fingers crossed for an equally disturbing, gory sequel. If you love thrillers, police procedures and have a iron clad stomach pick this book up now! This is a stellar debut!

I love the title, but too scary for me.. Great review!
